This rotation in STEM we are working with legos!

Using legos, we are working on using photography skills to create a story.

Using the camera feature on an iPad, students will edit the photos they take to tell their story.

4th graders got to use our brand new robots this week.

They used block code to program the robots to complete different challenges.

This week in STEM lab we created spooky stories.

Students began by planning their story and brainstorming sound effects that would go with it.

Then, they worked in Garage Band to create their spooky story.

STEM helps us work on so many skills, but collaboration is key to being successful!

STEM Lab

Students in 4th Grade got o the STEM lab every other week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  During this rotation students are using the new Root robots, creating marble runs, and using Lego stem kits.

Literal Great Heart

We have been busy learning about a literal great heart and how it works.

Today we made models of a beating heart to deepen our understanding of how the heart works.

GIANT Colorado Map

Students practiced being geographers on the giant Colorado Map.  

Geography Adventures!

We practiced skills such as cardinal directions, using map grids, as well as latitude and longitude.  We located regions in Colorado, landforms, and cities.

Halloween Adventure Day!

Meet Bernie, who visited us from the Dumb Friends League.

We also got to participate in thrilling theater.  Students enjoyed creating commercials for zombie spray.

We loved learning about el Día de los Muertos by creating papel picado.  We also were able to take home a sugar skull to decorate at home
